Students will use Canva to create a page about what they've learned about their habitat.
Today the students learned that there are computer's everywhere. They don't all look like laptop computers. They learned the key component of a computer is the processor (aka microprocessor or CPU). It is the "brains" of the computer. Just like our brain controls our body, the processor controls the other parts of the computer. Then we listed all the smart devices we could think of: smart phones, smart locks, smart lights, smart thermostats, smart doorbells, etc. Finally, the kids were asked to design their own "smart device". They were told to let their imaginations run free. As a prior product manager in tech, I was impressed with their ideas like a smartphone designed for kids. I also loved their attention to details like having a battery life to fly 10,000 miles. Please take a look at their fabulous designs and ask them to tell you more about them.
