We joined millions of students from around the world for the Hour of Code. The Hour of Code was meant to be a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science. We started the class by talking about computers, software, applications, and coding. Students learned that applications tell a computer what to do. And computer programmers write code with very specific instructions to create applications. Then the students did the Kodable Hour of Code activity where they had to give "fuzz" very specific instructions on how to get through a maze. They also created their own maze. | This will give you an idea of the activity they did: |
