To go along with their social studies unit, we took the kids on a virtual field trip to see some national landmarks like the National Mall and Monuments in Washington, DC, Statue of Liberty in New York, and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, PA. It was fun to watch them as they put the cardboard viewers up to their eyes. They looked up, down and then all around as they shouted "Look, I see...". I love it when technology can give the kids experiences they otherwise wouldn't be able have.
