Welcome to our train tour of the historic Northeast. You will go at your own pace on the tour. Mrs. Mariner will be your tour guide. When not leading tours, she works in her town's local history center. So you'll hear a lot from her about the past. Your tour will take you to many different places. Each one has a story to tell about the Northeast and its people. As you visit these places, I want you to look for answers to three questions,
Watch your step as you climb aboard. Our first stop will be the beautiful state of Maine. Please go in order of the red dots: 1, 3, 4, 5... 12 (Note, there is no stop 2). You should follow along in your Social Studies Alive! books. Don;t worry if Mrs. Mariner tells you to pause the audio and do an activity. Go ahead and listen to the rest of the audio and we'll do the activities later. When you are finished, you can go back and watch the videos (blue arrows). Source: Social Studies Alive!
