Today I showed the students how to access the First Grade online math activities that I pulled together for them. The site has online math activities tied to each Math In Focus chapter. Because many of these games use "flash", you have to use the Puffin Browser to play most of them.
The students learned that these games are on the Internet which means they are playing them on a computer outside the school. Internet games are different than apps that are installed on their iPads. Lots of different things can go wrong when playing Internet apps. They know they're going on the Internet when they start a "web browser".

- that holding the iPads horizontally made the game play better
- how to make the game full screen
- how to navigate within the game
- how to use the back arrow button to navigate back to the list of online games
- How to use the "hamburger button" to get back to the list of Math In Focus chapters
