As part of the science unit on Animal Camouflage and Mimicry, the students made a stop motion videos. First we printed out photos of their animals natural habitat. In art class and in the classroom the students drew pictures of their animals, cut them out and colored them. They also did research on their animal and wrote up their narration.
In a single class period, all the students created their Stop Motion videos. They were told to take 5 pictures of the starting position and then take at least 30 more pictures. The more the better. Then I worked with each of them during the week to record the narration. Below is an example of one of the videos. Click here to see all of them.
