Meteorologist Molly Cochran visited our school and talked to the 4th and 5th graders. While she was here she showed the students a special behind the scenes video, talked about the weather, conducted a few weather experiments and took them out to see StormTrak7. Ms. Cochran emailed after her visit and said "They <our students> really new their stuff!"
Carter was the ABC7 Kid Cam operator and took the footage that was shown on the news program in the evening. Seneca asked the on air question "How are you able to predict/forecast the difference between a regular rain event versus when thunder and lightning might occur?"
A Good Morning Washington Greeting was recorded with Mr. Baytosh, the students and teachers which will air on Tuesday, January 24 during the 4am hour on ABC7 and then on Newschannel 8 during the 6am and 7am hours, as well as possibly in the 8am hour.
A special thanks to Molly Cochran and Shamia Holloway for taking the time to visit our school and for putting together such a fabulous program. Thank You!
